Yeah, I had been under the impression that there were laws about accepting posts in foreign governments obviating your US citizenship. But apparently not (at least the State Department hasn't found one--granted it's this gang of failsons). I would be OK with him giving up citizenship, but also...

Yeah but what you actually shouldn't do is put actual Politics into crafting the bills. If you're certain he'll veto, just ignore the concept of policy trade-offs and, as you say, promise everyone a puppy
