It depends on what your state offers and what requirements they have. There are homeschool co-ops, you can do partial enrollment at public school, there are online schools. I’m in Nebraska, so I have those requirements down, any other state I have no clue.
Show PostI have ADHD I struggled all through school, poor grades was told to buckle down, pay attention, not trying hard enough etc. my oldest daughter also suffered similarly i with ADHD, education system said she was a girl so not ADHD 😡. She did get diagnosed and got help, but more needs to be done.
Show PostWe homeschool for this reason. Looking at colleges for my severe ADHD teen; private schools with low acceptance rates, high testing requirements, & high costs are the only ones I can find that cater to her needs. I’m still determined to help her find the right school, but it feels defeating.
Show PostWe home school too. Despite all the help I keep asking for (therapist, OT, doctors, paediatrician), we keep getting shuffled from org to org with no one actually listening or trying to help beyond “try this med, oh it messed her up bad, ok *disappears in a puff of smoke*”. Good orgs cost $$$.
