I used some pedagogical moves (let them read/take some directed notes before then discussing, did a little pre-writing), but the real teaching was that I showed them I care and know a lot about what I’m teaching them. If we want good teaching, we need to foster environments that make this possible.

Sold a Story is making me lose my mind. Why not a SHRED of context about why people would disagree with or balk at DI beyond personal preference?? Like...isn't it important to mention Dewey or Freire at some point??
