Wrote a short note about the Restore MCMC algorithm cseweb.ucsd.edu/~tzli/Restor... which is really neat but underappreciated (I think). Most text of Restore requires knowledge of stochastic processes and functional analysis, and I tried to explain the idea without them. Lmk if I missed anything!

Coming right out and saying that OpenAI's vision of the future is one in which they own all computers and you rent computing from them... or at least, you rent time and power doing whatever Sam Altman thinks you should be allowed to do. This is an authoritarian worldview that must be annihilated.
