There has never been a better time to fire Matt LaFleur.

The Packers could fix their image instantly if Gute is at the lectern before lunch saying something along the lines of "We took a player at their word and we're sorry. He's cut. We're going after his signing bonus and donating it to End Abuse Wisconsin."

It's a horrible look for Matt LaFleur, who stood up and defended him in front of the media. LaFleur's teams are undisciplined on the field and apparently not held to any accountability off of it, either. Imagine how Lombardi would have handled this!

I think an under-discussed negative development with this team has been the degradation in standards and accountability for this sort of thing. "Packer people" is a thing of the past and it's really disheartening. There's no place for this and he never should've been allowed to take the field again.
