Did a lot of driving today & feel shattered. But I got to thinking back to how I was doing exactly a year ago (very bad), & how I'm still here, & I'm ok, & it made me feel very very lucky. There's a kind of glowing sacredness to the low key & uneventful when I recognise the absence of catastrophe.

Under the weather, so carving is much harder this year. So behind schedule I doubt I'll actually meet my goals, but I'm into the home stretch now. Should get one finished later tonight, but for now, here's a couple of local ones form a few years ago.

I’m almost 62. Yesterday, I stood up for myself, for the first time in my life. It was terrifying and draining. On a related note, it was a lot easier, and a lot faster, to regulate my emotions afterwards, when I wasn’t prioritizing the other person’s emotions. #ActuallyAutistic

I'm doing well. My health is better than it has been in years. We finally found someone to fix/replace our roof; we're hoping it's done before we get any serious snow.
