Yeah even if it’s til 10 that’s not even particularly late for older kids. I used to regularly go to bed at 9:30ish and catch a school bus at 6am. If we really cared about kids getting enough sleep, later start times for school would be more helpful than fucking up holidays!

Growing up the usual thing was, it would start around twilight, younger kids usually started earliest and had shorter periods of running around while older kids would get to stay out later and range further with less adult supervision.
