(It doesn't have to be money, it can also be volunteering, etc. I default to money because I have it and because I have a system to get it out to folks/organizations, both individually and via our family foundation. But there's lots of ways to commit to action out in the world.)

I enjoy yelling about things on social media from time to time - it's cathartic! - but when I want to be useful about something, I send money (or send money, too). I suspect even with the reach I have online, the money is preferred. The posting is nice! But the money does things.

recommendation to NYC-based folk—one of my favorite restaurants is Anixi. I dream about their mezze & various spreads. I am in no way a vegan, but I would rather get takeout from them than anywhere else. And they have a Thanksgiving menu!!!

I am the very happy vegan beneficiary of the takeout from Kelly's NYC trip. I love the area we live in and don't really want to live in a city (stairs are mostly beyond me these years) but wooee food like this does make it tempting.
