Show PostChecked on Lucy this morning. Her wings have dried gorgeously, and of course she's moved into a spot in her enclosure where I can't line up a decent picture. I'll get some shots once I can safely handle her (about twelve hours).
Show PostLUCY HAD HER ADULT MOLT. LUCY IS AN ADULT MANTIS NOW. I STARTED WITH FOUR ORCHID MANTIS NYMPHS AND I GOT THEM ALL TO ADULTHOOD ON MY FIRST TRY KEEPING THIS SPECIES.
Show PostOne of my orchids, Lucy, has been steadfastly refusing to go through her final molt and enter her adult instar. Why? Fucked if I know. I had resigned myself to losing her early, when she just didn't grow up.
Show PostToday I will transfer Rancilda and Lucy (my remaining sub-adult female orchids) to larger enclosures, because if they molt in the ones they're in now, they'll hurt themselves. Pray for me. They are fragile and stabby.
