But what is it in response too? The whims it’s catering *are* racist. Racism is a huge political driver behind this, I don’t think that can be denied .

I also think the pretzely argument Mahmood makes just don’t bear the weight of the contradictions. It’s like Bridget Phillipson’s argument hah the EHRC code was ‘helping’ trans people by ‘keeping us out the headlines being attacked’. It’s fundamentally illogical

I respect James’ opinion but I disagree with this. In the end destroying people’s lives to satisfy the feelings of racists, and the demands of the racist press *is* racist whatever the intention. I don’t think intention is hugely relevant here.
