So sorry to hear childhood hero John 'Chunky' Herrick has died. A lion in the heart of the Cork Hibs defence, I remember the pride we felt when he was capped for Ireland. John's son Mark also donned the @CorkCityFC jersey in recent years. Loved meeting him in Galway. #LaochArLear

Back copy of this @dalkeyarchive.bsky.social classic promises a wild ride, and over-delivers. Possibly the weirdest weird book I've read in ages. #booksky #amreading

When we were children, we used to say of show-offs in the school playground they were only shaping; it is indeed something I never got out of the habit of; I made a living from shaping; indeed I made a life. Banville raintaxi.com/that-particu... #writingcommunity #booksky

The Aleph and Other Stories by Jorge Luis Borges Too much to fit in a tweet. Everything, in fact, condensed into a grain of sand. Some great stories here. Loved the story of Ibn-Hakam Al-Bokhari, The House of Asterion’s pensive minotaur, and The Writing of the God’s great ending. #booksky 💙📚
