While I am saddened and infuriated, I am not surprised by this. Not only is he intentionally disregarding informed consent, he is bringing up an issue that is a talking point among racist bigots. They look at med interpreters and patients that need them as "a burden on the healthcare system".

Considering he was a personal favorite of Amy Chua, a whole lot can be logically inferred. Including what is being speculated with his mindset, particularly his form of intentional indifference.
