Like, this era is exposing a lot of the ugly sausage-making laundry of the systems that are in place in this democracy, and people are not wrong to look at them skeptically. Government lawyers & judges & actors enjoy insane levels of special boy protection from misconduct!

I like you, but the second & third points are kinda irrelevant, and feel like they’re diverting from the core issue, which is that wildly unethical behavior is seemingly morally ok in the court system & ok w/ bars, which makes the entire professional monopoly bars have look deeply corrupt & suspect

There's the Minnesota case and then Boasberg was only recently allowed to move his contempt investigation forward because the DOJ blocked it as of April 2025. It's taken until Sept or Oct? for another judge to say - yup it's going forward.

it seems like nothing is happening because people AREN'T being disbarred for misconduct. People AREN'T spending time in jail. People AREN'T losing their livelihoods. And I know this takes time to build a record etc, but ultimately it feels like people are getting off to a lay person.
