Update: I checked again and there’s no official confirmation on the process node. Based on Geekerwan’s analysis, T239 probably uses the custom 8N process for Ampere, which is closer to 8LPP than 8LPU.

That is possible but not very probable. There are indications that T239 was taped out in 2021, therefore it’s most likely using Samsung 8LPP (unconfirmed).

How do we know this isn’t the already-existing modified 8nm process that’s used by the current Switch 2? Or does that already have a confirmed name? I feel like this could just be Samsung opening that process up to everybody VS a new process that isn’t yet in use.
