Show PostSure, there may be some privacy issues here, but an unwillingness to engage in open dialog usually just means you know your ideas are abhorrent and simply want to remain in a privileged state not to be held accountable for them.
Show Post“Everyone deserves a second chance.” That’s the argument some people give for Deshaun Watson, Josh Jacobs, and the other “alleged” abusers who are still playing in the NFL. And I just want to say…fuck that. Not everyone deserves a second chance. They are earned. Not given.
Show PostIf a second chance is just handed over like a mulligan…it’s not really a second chance. It’s just ignoring the terrible thing someone did. Second chances are supposed to come after a person shows real remorse and growth. After they’ve worked on themselves. And put some actual good into the world.
Show PostThis loose idea of “second chances” is often a cheap way to avoid accountability. “Don’t hold the heinous things I did over my head.” “Don’t yell at me for hiring the guy who did heinous things.” A bunch of people shouting “SECOND CHANCE” into the wind like Michael Scott declaring bankruptcy.
