The only horror movie in cinemas for Halloween 1979 was NOSFERATU THE VAMPYRE, and you had to live near an arthouse to see it. Very strange, since 1979 was "The Summer of Horror" with ALIEN, THE AMITYVILLE HORROR, DRACULA, PROPHECY and NIGHTWING; the first two were probably still in theaters.
