Sad that Halloween is “over”? I’ve got good news: Samhain is truly a cross-quarter day, i.e. the midpoint between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice. Astronomically, this year we get there on 7th November. Seven more days of spooky. You’re welcome 🌚

Sometimes, I'll read book A, and it'll give me a hankering for something similar, so I'll pick up book B. That can be a delightful experience that multiples my enjoyment of a favorite trope/setting/vibe. Or book B can suffer cruelly in comparison to book A. I'm currently enduring the second thing.
