Nice! Although I feel that after our conversation this morning I know more about the writer Carolyn Boyd's bookshelves than anyone. Does Matthew Lyons know their precise width and depth? I doubt it.

Went to my auntie's for a full chicken dinner (chopped liver, chicken soup, kneidlach - the works!). Then this incredible homemade torta caprese - a rich almond & chocolate cake from the Italian Jewish tradition (recipe from Silvia Nacamulli's Jewish Flavours of Italy). So delicious, I had thirds!
