I stepped into a dusk lit by tree gold & Divali lamps. Indian spices stirring memories of Parkin & treacle toffee our Bolton neighbours shared. And before that, my mother as a child waiting for Mummers to emerge at Samhain. All converge at this season's doorway between the living & dead. 🌆 🕯 🎃🍬

I guess there are. One is when I first had my driver's licence, (*I was 27 before I had a car and learned to drive and it was after my dad surprised me with buying me a brand new car - cost then was $2,000 and after I'd had cancer & 3 surgeries) figured I should memorize the licence # so I did.

Many as I have a bit of a photographic memory for numbers. Some I remember are my dad's phone number when he lived 400 kms. away, my friend Phil's phone number who died suddenly in April 2023, my Social Insurance #, Driver licence #, my Blue X number.
