I just remembered. Driving home I saw a house with a big Marine Corps flag next to an equally big "Fuck Trump" flag. 🥹 That's pretty rare for around here. It's right on the main road too so I wonder if they're getting shit thrown at the house. People around here would do that.

Update: apparently my neighborhood is The Place, because multiple houses *on my block* are giving out full-sized bars, along with little party favor bags, homemade cookies, and popcorn balls, the last of which I thought were fully extinct?

We helped our friends give out candy for Halloween. Kids surveyed the many candies available; many chose anything but the Peanut Butter Cups that were richly available. I despaired for the youth; the self-abnegation; then our friend reminded me of nut allergies.
