Whoa, that's really weird! I know they released a patch later on that fixed some issues (in particular in Athena) but that PS4 issue is a mystery to me.

As for SNK 40th itself, I can't speak for the PS4 version but the Switch version seems acceptable, if it's input lag then I'm absolutely terrible at being able to feel it (it has to be ~egregiously~ bad like Metal Slug Anthology on PS2) but maybe they just really ballsed up the other versions?

Oh yeah, the watch mode is definitely more a curiosity than anything else because it is savestated to hell and you can tell~ I know the PSP versions of those SNK games definitely ran weirdly (especially the digital versions on PS3 that actually paused to load music!!)
