I could probably talk more about her and Lysander but for the second part of the question- I do like Y'shtola. I don't think about it much but I got more sad than I expected when she just handed over all key-related stuff to wol once we found out it was an azem thing. she's still the expert..

Their relationship deepened a little in shb--her distrust of the Exarch and her concern over what was happening to him did make it through to him. But they're still both reserved scholarly types with very different interests--they're fairly close now but in an unspoken way.

as Scions they were basically companionable coworkers, as was the case with Lysander and most of the others. Their relationship suffered a little for Lysander associating her with the start of his journey as the wol- when his own bitterness about that began to grow, she was tied into it.

His first impressions were mostly overwhelmed by the whole "god is talking to me" thing. But he maybe didn't realize exactly how much he was tired of Sharlayan until he ran into another Sharlayan and found himself somewhat annoyed by the encounter. But he didn't dislike her personally--
