I'm an American Jew. Opposing the Israeli government doesn't mean you hate Jews, especially when that government is abandoning Jewish values. Just like opposing the U.S. government doesn't mean you hate America, especially when that government is abandoning American values.
Show PostYes, there's a real concern that anti-Israel sentiment can very quickly turn into antisemitic sentiment. And we need to be vigilant. But that doesn't mean blind loyalty and purity tests and locking down free speech.
