He’s more worried that they’re women.
Show Post🦇 If you suddenly lost the lower half of your body in a freak accident RoboCop style, you would still have that internal map telling you what anatomy you're supposed to have below the waist. You probs would even experience phantom sensations from your missing anatomy.
Show Post🦇 Of course this does also apply to the whole spectrum with trans men and enbies having the same experience but with different body maps.
Show Post🦇 It's why many trans women can "feel" our vaginas even when we don't actually have them but a penis feels like a foreign object. It doesn't line up with the map our brains have of our bodies and that's why hrt and surgery is so effective. It lines up our bodies to what the brain expects.
Show Post🦇 It functions similarly to how amputees can still "feel" their missing limbs. The brain has a body map for what it expects the body to look like and when it doesn't match up it can cause severe distress, jarring dysphoria, and dissonance.
