There were no actual "proper" working firearms on the set of *any* John Wick movies. Director Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves were so committed to crew safety that they insisted on "plug guns" and used CGI for muzzle flashes and gun smoke/blood effects in all four movies. It's honestly incredible.
