You’d think a system where the new lad or lass had back up from the old one might be quite good. Titus 2 listen to the older ones then minister to them in their old age could be seen as honour your father/mother type thing if looking at church as ‘church family’ it’s kind of how the Catholics do it

Dad of two stroppy, sullen, opinionated, teenage boys. Feel like I'm losing touch with them. Last night one couldn't sleep, so joined me. A few mins later he reached out and held my hand and went to sleep. I lay there streaming silent tears, treasuring the moment.
