The UK needs to have a start of winter Bank Holiday and whilst I can understand the appeal of making it Trafalgar Day, I accept the fact that it’s too weird and esoteric for the body politic (or anyone who doesn’t write for The Critic) so why not just go with All Souls’ Day on 1st November?
