I remember Labour MPs like Barbara Castle who genuinely supportled workers. She backed the Ford Dagenham machinist strikers and then brought in the equal pay act in 1970. Would now probably be sidelined or edged out of the Labour party. Green Party MPs like Hannah Spencer are today’s best hope.

In all honesty I think the concept of the "Labour Party" representing and fighting for working people and defending the principles of social democracy is gone it no longer exists. I believe about 30% of current Labour MPs are former lobbyists and that says it all
