Also seem to have dropped plans for improving the Ely railway junction which has an impact on N-S and E-W rail travel, including goods going to east coast ports. Never understood Governments dropping bypasses because by removing heavy through traffic they have a huge environmental and health impact.
Show PostI think it's time Government had a good look at whether our transport systems still go where we need them to. Road, rail and airports were all laid out when London was our biggest port and we still give it priority as if that hasn't changed.
