Happy Halloween! I carved this pumpkin with my study system. My kids chose the species after finding some in our garden, it's not actually one we have used in our ALAN research though. Full points to anyone who can guess the species (it's very small and colourful)

Verrückter Fakt des Tages: #vfdt Aus pilzbefallenem Holz können feine Haare aus Eis wachsen. Der Pilz setzt beim Abbau des Holzes vermutlich Stoffe frei, die verhindern, dass die dünnen Eisfäden zu einer groben Eiskruste rekristallisieren. So bleibt das Eis haarfein.
