In theory, one could make an argument that this applies to any other company that by the choice of the government you have no choice but to interact with, but a country in which such a position was allowed to stand would also have the political unity to ban it the normal way.

It should be possible to argue that government use of it is, yes. However, as constructed in US law, it only constrains the government, not private companies. That's what you get for running a hacked-up version of a pre-alpha 250 year old system.

I’ve been able to avoid it at work so far (I’m very fortunate that my 2nd level seems to be fairly skeptical of the tech), but this is what I would do. Why assume that the text generator will continue to generate the right text indefinitely when you could have it generate a script once instead?
