So that we can broaden our horizons and not allow ourselves to be left in the dark by the people who you once cared so much about. The people pleasing part of me slowly accepting the reality of it all, and I'm glad. If people want to drop me, that's okay, I won't stay weighted down by it. I'm lucky.

I've met new people, heard their stories, been able to do something good and give back during a time of mourning which has helped deafen the sadness and the questions of "why aren't I good enough" or "why don't they show up anymore". Sometimes it's vital we push ourselves into new situations...

I spent way too many months heartbroken over friends ghosting me or refusing to support me anymore without any reason at all, only to be gifted with a bunch of people who do love me, who do support me and are recognising the good in me. This fundraiser has been exhausting but it's been rewarding.
