It's interesting that AO3 is down for such a lengthy stretch during what's arguably the most consumption-oriented/extractive era in fanfic's history. People dumping thousands of fics on gdrive are being hailed as heroes, drowning out fic writers saying, I didn't consent to be *republished* there.

Like, even in the books the children of every faction are treated as innocents. For all the memes about Vulkan torching that Exodite child, later stories have him experiencing remorse about it (or at least whatever his Primarch brain interprets as remorse).
