TNG was a show that people very commonly watched with their own parents, and I think that makes the feeling of loss more acute.
Show PostI think people are hooked on gov drama after the last 15 yrs. Both news media and social media shitposters. They need little titbits from govt depts to drive their lust for 24hr information. They can't accept that Ministries might actually be getting on with it instead of feeding the news machine.
Show PostBottom line, my prediction from a few weeks ago has proven to be on point: The opposition would have to build a coalition with Arab parties to rid us of Bibi. They can do it. They should. It is morally correct, and the only way. I worry the opposition leaders are will not do so.
Show PostYes. Yes I do. Winning against an entrenched incumbent, even in a completely free political system is difficult. Doing it this far along the path to competitive authoritarianism is even more so. I’ll take this result.
Show PostAgain, I'm not joyous, but this is as good as we could have hoped for, really. Israeli opposition leaders must make a clear choice between a forever war, or including Israeli Arabs. There is no other choice. Their choice will define Israel for decades to come.
