In my recent @transnews.network piece on there being no possible compromise on trans rights, I quoted a line from Douglass. To paraphrase another: the general sentiment of humanity is that those who will not fight for themselves are not worth being fought for by others, and this sentiment is just.
Show PostFrom over 20 years investigating politicians: if a politician knows they can be openly bigoted towards a group/repeatedly vote against their rights AND still get their support they keep escalating. Being nice with politicians gets you absolutely nothing. They only respond to fear and consequences.
