Understanding how slow timescale internal states, estrogen level in this case, can change neural circuits is some of the most exciting directions in our field imo So happy to have contributed a small part of this work :)

I’ve been telling people that my best-case outcome for the next decade is that there’s a return to focus on ideas rather than what we can effectively code or work out with pencil and paper. Those are important skills, but I think we would benefit from a renewed focus on idea generation.
