We checked out the floodway park yesterday and it was enjoyed by such a wide crosssection. I don't think the moped should be there, motorized vehicles should be on the outside edge only. Watch the father & child exit the elevator to practice bike riding here

Speaking of defense, IMHO, LA is not serious about floodwaters & should learn from Taipei. Look at the immense size of the floodplains without development and the density inside the flood-protected areas. Baseball diamonds for scale

Taking the MRT last night between my dad's apt and our hotel was fun because of all the young people out in Halloween costumes, heading to parties. I took No photos but did lots of people watching. The closest thing in LA was taking the D to ArtFest at LACMA or Ciclavia.
