Kantha, in common parlance, tends to be more often used to describe the embroidered fabric i.e. as a style, used to distinguish sarees for example. Your comment made me look up the original technique! My own fav sari looks something like image grabbed off the web - raw tussar silk but called kantha

from a national allocation perspective, actually, it's quite terrible to have doors in everyone's homes. Just think of the possibilities of having your door in the cloud - no need to open or close it when you want to exit your room, you just walk through the hole.
