(I am also a contrarian in that I loved season 3 of "Picard," you're all going to say it was terrible writing and I DON'T CARE, I just wanted my family back together and for everyone to remember how important Beverly Crusher was, I cried at every episode and I'm prob going to rewatch this weekend)

they were so important to me, and it is such an edgelord showrunner/filmmaker trend to take beloved couples the audience was rooting for and let a spinoff or sequel ruin them (Han and Leia are obviously the one I'm angriest about, but actually fuck what they did to Luke and Lorelei too)

C) okay now this is just a tangent but LISTEN I know plenty of people hated "Picard" especially s3 and I'm not gonna fight with you about it, but it is actually so important to me to come back decades later and see that Troi and Riker MADE IT. they went through hell and stuck it out

B pt 2) it is actually such a betrayal of Riker's character to imagine he would ever be jealous, all he wants is for Deanna to be happy and he was far more likely to walk her down the aisle at her Klingon/Betazoid wedding (her naked, Worf wearing armor?? much 2 contemplate) than seethe for 25 years
