The problem with ideology is that it looks good on paper, but like all political philosophy, has to work in the Real World if it's to be meaningful. Can't see many people voluntarily signing up to freeze in a few weeks time. (Although I haven't used my central heating in years. 🥶)

I took that to mean 'better' for the environment than the alternative. The pragmatic POV is nobody's going to stop burning gas this coming winter. Bad for the environment yes, but less bad than the attendant consequences of importing it.

I thought not but just checked on line and you may be right - apologies. How disappointing - I dislike Zionism but cannot agree that there should be one Palestinian state rather than a two-state solution. And the current genocide is inexcusable (likewise Oct 7)

It's a big disappointment for people who want a realistic environmental party. I mean what's the point of defining Zionism to a narrow meaning and then proposing a motion on that meaning — absolutely guaranteed to lead to misunderstanding. And the elimination of Israel? Yes it needs reform, but..

Something I posted about earlier. In general, old school Green Party was (and is) keen on actual discussion, facts, science. New style Green Party does thinking like a cult. Hopefully old school can reassert themselves as they're desperately needed.
