Like I guess I don't think that the primary purpose of conducting an interview in the New Yorker should be to own the interview subject. Not that some sharp questions aren't in order for someone like "Founder of Arab Americans for Trump", but not just nasty asides for their own sake.

Sorry, that was a REVIVAL of Prelude to a Kiss, alongside revivals of Shaw, Shakespeare, Mamet, Churchill, Inge, Hellman, Pinter, and O'Neill. Sullivan's extraordinary resume is distinguished by his attention to text and to actors. His work was never flashy, but always mature, patient, and polished.

Big theater news. Sullivan's Broadway directing credits go back to 1972 and include Proof, Dinner with Friends, I'm Not Rappaport, Rabbit Hole, and Prelude to a Kiss, as well as just about every Wendy Wasserstein play. Eight Tony nominations! Salute to the week's least controversial Daniel Sullivan.

Cinema 2 was, I admit, nothing special. But Cinema 1 was big (500+ seats) and pretty nice! Great sound, great sightline, and a sort of sleek, sterile 1960s modernist design with a slight 2001: A Space Odyssey vibe (kind of like the Paramount on W. 60th).
