AI bros will insist the answer is either "more AI" or "serious code review" and neither of those solves this problem. "More AI" just abdicates more mental load and pushes off humans *ever* understanding, and code review at AI volumes of output is both soul crushing and also just Not How People Learn

At first it was “how does this new feature work” and developers would be hazy on details. Now it’s “how do *existing* features work ensure compatibility with *new* features?”, or discovering core architectural decisions Claude made 8 months ago just now emerging as problems for future development.
