Trans people are Muslim. Trans people are Native. Trans people are immigrants. Trans people exist in every race and ethnic group and religion in this country. Transphobia is literally killing the most marginalized people in the United States.

And this is why I recoil so vehemently against the idea that trans people are "purity testing" or coming from privilege. Most of us sit at intersections of marginalization that the majority of society couldn't dream of. Trans people are Disabled. Trans people are Black.
