The USA being more hated than Russia because of Russia's influence in the USA is like Pétain's France or Quisling's Norway being more hated than the third Reich. Sad, a bit silly but not entirely undeserved. Except that Washington is not occupied by Russian troops.

Show PostThe spread of Brexit regulatory fantasies has probably been its greatest success, there isn't a shred of evidence that the UK can regulate better than the EU, and if it turns protectionist the UK is in the firing line, but still this nonsense persists.
Show PostOnce again though the spectacular ignorance and arrogance of the UK with regard to the EU on full display, an unearned sense of superiority utterly untouched by ten years failure, the same nonsense trotted out with no questions raised at to why it hasn't happened yet.
Show PostAnyway on today's evidence it isn't much of a surprise that UK economics and politics is stuck, since too many involved clearly prefer to live in the realm of fantasy rather than deal with the actual challenges. Oh, and services export strength isn't due to deregulatory acts either.
