Not sure how all Movements do this but AIUI Jews are also typically expected to do mitzvot and to refuse credit to the individual for doing them (I was taught that this is a crucial part of the definition of a mitzvah, and if you seek credit or rewards then it’s something else)

We can all unproductively argue with each other now while ballots are being cast with fascists currently in power, or we can have much better arguments with each other when we're in power. I know which scenario I prefer. Win in November, argue in January.

Tangentially related, the question of whether being loud on social media about [insert social issue here] has more value than quietly doing work/giving money in support for that issue. Both can have value in their way, and of course are not exclusive, but one is seen by others and the other isn't.
