This is what Meta does. Constantly tweaking things. Unless you are one of the top accounts, most of us don't need to break out our notifications. We want to see all of them. If you have a post that goes viral, you can just mute the thread to quiet the notifications.

Ugh yes, it's awful. I bet this is something the "professional" users wanted because they have so many followers and they love to break people into follower/nonfollower categories but for normal people like me who don't need/want to categorize, it is too busy. I turned off beta immediately.
