Stanford Reservoir - Sabine’s Gull left the roost just before 7 but flew high north. More #patchgold just after 9 when a clear calling WOODLARK went over, calling 3 times. A patch tick & only the 2nd ever for the site (last in 1987). A fantastic end to the week. #PWC2026

I was over at Walberswick, when Craig F called to say he had found a yellow-browed sp in Southwold churchyard. Pleased I yomped back to help ID it as Hume's - it took 90 mins before it called and showed well. The 2nd year in a row Craig has found one in the same spot #suffolkbirding #ukbirding

It's weird duck time! The Northern Shovelers have arrived. If you're wondering what the male is eating, I believe that's a small snail. Shovelers' beaks are lined with lamellae, which are comb-like structures that act like a sieve to filter out water while trapping
