Show PostWas woken up this morning by a young robin fatally hitting my bedroom window. We built a small pyre for it and filled it with gifts of ash berries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberry canes, and the last blooms from the garden to send it on its way. Definitely put a pall on the day.

A great trick or treat; our neighbor Sally was the only one who got my costume and forced me to stick rollos in my umbrella. Home to chili and The Mothman Prophecy (excellent choice by the teen) and then kicked off Minimum Wage until everyone was too sleepy to continue. A+, would Halloween again.
