I don’t think twenty or so years in tech was necessarily a mistake given how it significantly changed my economic situation, but I do think it was a mistake to believe I had any real kinship with 99.9% of the people working in tech.

it's not that they think mass detransition will just happen, it's that they think trans people are the result of "gender ideology" and by working hard to eliminate it, trans people will come to their senses and want to go back to normal. it's less a prediction and more them stating their objective
