Counterpoint: we’ve spent months — years — now hearing “he can’t do that” or “it’s illegal.” But nothing happens. You and I can’t just break the law and the response is a shrug. He can. People are tired of it and it’s impossible (for me at least) not be cynical and skeptical of all of it.
